Associate Editor

Erin Weinberg was born on April 23; her love of Shakespeare was meant to be!

She was fortunate enough to pursue her Master’s degree in Shakespeare at Royal Holloway, University of London, which strongly influenced her love of all things English, but especially Shakespearean theatre. It was there that she became passionate about bringing Shakespeare to the public, and she is thankful to have had the tremendous opportunity to do so by helping develop the Shakespeare Quartos Archive.

Now working on her doctorate in English Literature at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, she feels like she is finally hitting her stride. More of a viewer than an actor, she loves to watch film adaptations of Shakespeare’s plays and visit the Stratford Shakespeare Festival. Her favorite play is Titus Andronicus, on which she wrote her Master’s thesis: “Finding more in the Moor: Exploring Shakespeare’s ‘master touch’ in Titus Andronicus” (2009).

In her spare time, she likes to travel, read, work on editorial boards for student-run magazines, and blog. Her first blog, A Bibliophile’s H(e)aven, reflects on all things related to bibliophilia (the love of books), but her passion project is Why I Love Shakespeare, a blog in which she endeavors to put into words why Shakespeare is such a big deal!
