Germana Maciocci
Associate Editor
Germana was born in Rome, Italy, where she lived until 2003 when she moved to Casale Monferrato in the North of Italy. She’s married and has two children, Daniele (b. 2006) and Francesca (b. 2009). English language and literature, especially Shakespeare, is a personal passion.
Germana has been studying English since the age of nine. She was lucky enough to have an elder sister who was and is still good with English and who introduced her to icons like the Beatles, David Bowie, Oscar Wilde, and Shakespeare, among others. She had the opportunity to listen, read, and watch movies in English. She holds a B.A. in English Language and Literature at La Sapienza University of Rome (2001). Her thesis was on Coriolanus.
She is presently working with a friend who teaches English in kindergartens and primary schools, adapting Twelfth Night for kids to be performed by young people and children. She is mainly involved in the “words”, preparing the script. Their project is called “The Witty Will’s Women” and they plan to open a website soon. Their goals are to spread and enjoy with the largest group of people of all ages, in Italy and abroad, Shakespeare’s plays and other English literature pearls.
