Globe training in Bristol
Shakespeare’s Globe will collaborate with Clifton College in Bristol to create a training program for teachers across the west of England and south Wales.
Over five day-long courses, participants will explore various topics. Teachers will be able to examine fathers and daughters, leadership, tragedies, and villains in Shakespeare’s works. The collaboration, led by the Globe’s education team, will be aimed at English Literature instructors.
Clifton College was “one of the first Boarding Schools in the country to have its own purpose-built theatre.” The Redgrave Theatre hosts more than forty productions each year. Courses will be offered at Clifton across five weekends throughout the forthcoming months. First up, with an application deadline in October, will be training geared toward new teachers.
