Woodlands Academy’s As You Like It

Katelynn Soto, a sophomore at Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart in Lake Forest, Illinois, has composed original songs for the school’s production of As You Like It, opening in March. Sarah Grunnah, the theater director at the Catholic college preparatory school for women, will stage Shakespeare’s play in the school dining room in a thrust arrangement with singers and instruments onstage. Fine Arts Department Chairman Catherine DeVuono and her art students have designed the sets. Soto, who appears as Rosalind in the show, has composed several songs along with Heather Bordley-Harvell, the school’s voice teacher.
