Trustees to remove rare book collection from Lancaster

This May, Lancaster University will lose a valuable collection of rare books and mauscripts which includes Shakespeare’s first folio and letters signed by Queen Elizabeth I.  According to the University, the Second Baron Hesketh’s Will Trust made the loan for ten years, “subject to review,” in 2005.  Last year, the trustees gave notice that the books will be withdrawn.
